Hassan Baz Chamas
PhD, MSc, MRs, BS, TD
Hassan Baz Chamas is a distinguished academic and consultant specializing in data analytics and operations management. He holds a PhD in Information and Operations Management from the University of Bradford, having also earned his MSc from the same institution. His foundational studies were completed at the Lebanese American University, where he obtained his BS. Hassan has made significant contributions to the academic community, particularly in the realm of data science. He previously served as the chairperson for the Data Science Department at the Lebanese University, where he supervised numerous graduate projects and theses. His expertise encompasses operations management and data analytics, areas in which he has both taught and conducted extensive research. Throughout his career, Hassan has worked on numerous consultancy projects across Oman, Lebanon, and the UAE, applying his knowledge to solve real-world problems and advance the field of data science. His leadership roles have been a testament to his professionalism and dedication, as he continually strives to push the boundaries of what can be achieved with data-driven decision making. Janine Gray
PhD, BSc (Hons), BSc
Janine Gray earned her PhD in Zoology from Rhodes University in South Africa. She is a former senior instructor in the Department of Animal Science and Aquaculture at Dalhousie University in Truro, Nova Scotia. While at Dalhousie, she supported the establishment and growth of the Bioveterinary Science program and introduced the African Wildlife Ecology course – a three-week intensive credit course taking place in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, developed in partnership with the Wildlife & Reserve Management Research Group at Rhodes University. Janine takes a student-centric approach in the classroom, striving to provide students with the tools and skills they need to succeed in their future careers. That includes ensuring they develop essential soft skills such as working in teams, taking notes, writing reports and other documents, as well as introducing different types of technology and specialized knowledge into their areas of interest. In addition to her PhD, she also completed a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and Geology, and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Geology at Rhodes University. With more than two decades of experience in post-secondary education across three countries, Kirti has excelled in various roles, from teaching to management and leadership. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a remarkable blend of pedagogical prowess and administrative acumen. Her expertise spans teaching, research, and administration, with a particular focus on business communication, leadership, team dynamics, and negotiation skills. In her administrative roles, Kirti has successfully managed diverse portfolios, including student recruitment, student services, and program management, earning recognition for her strategic vision and operational excellence. Her research and scholarly interests lie in the integration of technology to enhance student engagement in the teaching-learning process. Additionally, she is passionate about business case writing and has published her case studies in prestigious publications such as Ivey and Harvard Business Review.
