The University of Niagara Falls Canada welcomes students from around the world and recognizes a wide range of international curricula. Below, you will find a list of international curricula and the minimum academic requirements for each country. Please note that meeting these criteria does not guarantee admission. Offers are based on a holistic review that includes your academic performance, subjects studied, and other supporting documents.

Admission requirements by country
Required credential
Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) XII (grade 12th)
Required subject areas
- A minimum of six senior year courses, including:
- Mathematics (equivalent to Ontario 4U Math)
- English (equivalent to Ontario 4U English)
Minimum average of 70% in the required subject areas noted above.
Required documents
- Official certified translation of in-progress or final high school transcripts and original language in-progress or final transcripts.
- Copy of the High School Diploma if applicable.
Official transcripts must be issued directly by the high school’s records or administrative office and must include all courses completed, final grades earned, and any diploma or certificate awarded.
We verify your official transcripts and/or certificates through the Ministry of Education Intermediate and Secondary Boards Bangladesh website for verification. We require the examination type, year, board, roll number, and registration number.

Certificado de Conclusão do Ensino Médio (Certificate of Secondary School Completion/Diploma)
Required subject areas
- A minimum of six senior year courses, including:
- Mathematics (equivalent to Ontario 4U Math)
- English (equivalent to Ontario 4U English)
Minimum average of 70% in the required subject areas noted above.
Required documents
- Official certified translation of in-progress or final high school transcripts and original language in-progress or final transcripts.

Required credential
Completion of both five CSEC units and three CAPE units, including English at the CAPE level or five CSEC units and at least one year of study at a recognized Junior College (24 credit hours).
Required subject areas
- A minimum of six senior year courses, including:
- Mathematics (equivalent to Ontario 4U Math): CSEC Math or higher, with a grade of III (B) or higher.
- English (equivalent to Ontario 4U English): CAPE Unit I or Unit II Level English with a grade of III (B) or higher.

Bachiller Academico (Academic Stream) and completion of at least one year of study at a recognized Junior College, College, or University.

West African Senior School Certificate (WASSCE) / West African Examination Council (WAEC)

We verify results through the WAEC Digital Certificate Platform. For WAEC verification, we will need the Index Number, the Examination Type, the Examination Year, the Date of Birth, the Voucher Serial Number, and the PIN.
Required credential
All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE) (Class XII), or Indian School Certificate (CISCE)(Class XII), or Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC)(Class XII)
Required subject areas
- A minimum of six senior year courses, including:
- Mathematics (equivalent to Ontario 4U Math)
- English (equivalent to Ontario 4U English)
Minimum average of 70% in the required subject areas noted above.

Official transcripts must be issued by the educational institution’s registrar or records office and must list all courses taken, grades received, and any credentials awarded.
For CBSE results, we verify your official transcripts and/or certificates through the Central Board of Education (CBSE). For verification, we will need your Roll Number, School Number, and Admit Card ID. For CISCE results, we verify your official transcripts and/or certificates through the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. For verification, we will need the Roll Number.

Diplom Metevaseth (National High School Diploma)
For applicants who graduated before 2019: Pre-University Year Certificate and Diplom Metevaseth
Required subject areas
- A minimum of six senior year courses, including:
- Mathematics (equivalent to Ontario 4U Math)
- English (equivalent to Ontario 4U English)
Minimum average of 70% in the required subject areas noted above.

For students who completed their School Leaving Certificate in the current calendar year, we might be able to verify your official transcripts and/or certificates through the National Examination Board. For verification, we will need the Symbol Number and your Date of Birth.

Senior School Certificate (SSCE) / West African Examination Council (WAEC) / National Examination Council (NECO)
Required subject areas
- A minimum of six senior year courses, including:
- Mathematics (equivalent to Ontario 4U Math)
- English (equivalent to Ontario 4U English)
Minimum average of 70% (C6) in the required subject areas noted above.
Required documents

Students who graduated before 2017-2018, we require Senior High School (SHS) and at least one year of education at a recognized Junior College, College, or University.

- English (equivalent to Ontario 4U English)
Minimum average of 70% in the required subject areas noted above.

We verify your official transcripts and/or certificates through the Document Verification website administered by the government of Türkiye. For verification, we will need the Barcode Number of the documents.
Submission methods
- By email: Sent directly from the institution’s official email address to official.documents@unfc.ca, or
- By mail: Mailed in a sealed envelope directly from the issuing institution, with the institution’s name, address, and official stamp on the seal of the envelope.
UNF recognizes Educational Credential Assessments (ECAs) issued by designated organizations such as WES and IQAS as official academic documents for the purpose of verifying international academic credentials.
