Career Services

Career advising is an appointment service offered to all students at the University of Niagara Falls Canada. A Career Advisor can assist by providing guidance, resources, and supports intended to help students understand how their strengths, interests, and values may be applied to various career options.

By meeting with our Career Advisor, students will have the opportunity to discuss their career questions and goals, while gaining professional knowledge and skills to support their job search.

Career advising appointments are booked for 45 minutes and are available in-person or online. Select services may also be offered through email. View the various appointment types below to learn more about the assistance available.

The Career Readiness Workshop Series is a comprehensive program featuring 15 online modules organized into three levels, designed to equip students with essential skills for job preparation and professional development. Each module includes targeted lessons, links to a variety of online career resources, and opportunities for students to reflect on and refine their career goals.

Career Readiness – Level 1
Focuses on foundational skills for an effective job search, including how to craft strong resumes and cover letters, conduct job searches, and prepare for interviews.

Career Readiness – Level 2
Introduces tools and strategies for successful networking, emphasizing techniques for building professional relationships both in-person and online.

Career Readiness – Level 3
Explores topics such as workplace etiquette, navigating and mediating conflict, and setting meaningful goals for personal and professional success.

To complete each level, students engage in online discussion boards and mini assignments, with feedback and recommendations provided by the Career Advisor. Upon successfully completing each level, students earn an eBadge and 10 hours towards their co-curricular record.
