Governance
Stewardship in action
Good governance is critical to academic quality. Our institution has a system of governance similar to the bicameral system in place at many other Canadian universities, consisting of a Board of Governors and an Academic Council.
Board of Governors
The Board is responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the university, including fiduciary, legal, and financial responsibility. Its membership includes senior university leadership, distinguished community members, and experienced higher education professionals.

Academic Council
Academic Council is responsible for decisions about academic programs, policies, and standards. Its composition includes a broad representation of senior administrative staff, faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
Vision
Our vision is innovative education and research for a digital world. Academic programs are aligned to meet the needs of business and industry, providing students with the skills and knowledge needed now and for the future.
