Tuition Fees and Payments

Tuition Payment Deadline
Full tuition and fees are due on or before the first day of term. Please plan ahead and ensure your payment is in place before that date. You can find the first day of class for each term listed on the Important Dates page of UNF’s website.

Late Fee – New for Fall Term and beyond
If full payment has not been received by the deadline, a late fee of $250 will be applied to your account following the last day to add or drop classes. Please note that partial payments do not exempt you from this charge unless authorized and confirmed by the university.

Students entering Term 1 or Term 5 who are awaiting the first or final disbursement of an entrance award will not be charged a late fee until that award has been released.

Interest Charges
Interest will be applied to any outstanding balance, calculated daily and compounded monthly. The monthly rate is 1.25% and the effective annual rate is 16.08%. Here’s what you should know:

• Interest begins accruing on the first day of the month following the payment deadline.
• While interest accrues daily, it is posted to your account on the first day of the following month.
• If you pay your balance before interest is posted, you will still be responsible for all interest accrued up to the date of your payment.

Partial payments do not exempt you from interest charges on the remaining balance.

Financial Hold
Accounts with an overdue balance of $500 or more will have a financial hold placed on them. A financial hold restricts:

• Registration for new courses
• Release of official transcripts
• Issuance of official university documents
• Participation in convocation-related activities
