Co-Curricular Record
Going beyond the classroom
University learning doesn’t only happen in the classroom at UNF — it happens in residence halls, student leadership roles, volunteer initiatives, campus employment, and by engaging in the community.
What is a Co-Curricular Record?
Your Co-Curricular Record (CCR) is an official document that recognizes and verifies the learning and achievements you gain beyond the classroom. It complements your academic transcript by highlighting the skills, leadership, and experiences you develop through campus involvement, volunteer work, employment, and student leadership opportunities.
Your CCR tells the full story of your university experience. It goes beyond what you’ve studied to show how you’ve grown. Think of it as your Involvement Portfolio, verified by UNF.
Why complete the CCR?
Completing your CCR gives you a structured way to track your experiences and demonstrate how you take ownership of your university journey. It helps you show employers, professors, and peers that you are actively developing skills that prepare you for life after graduation.
The Domains of Learning guide your development in areas employers value most, allowing you to grow at your own pace.
Each time you complete a CCR level, you earn a digital badge you can share on LinkedIn, showing your network that you are intentionally building your experience at UNF.

Domains of Learning
The Domains of Learning represent the key areas of growth that shape your experience at UNF. They provide a framework for recognizing the skills, knowledge, and values you develop through your studies, campus involvement, and community engagement.
These domains align with the competencies employers and graduate programs value most, helping you connect your experiences to your future career goals.

Each domain offers students the ability to gain specific knowledge that prospective employers will see as valuable. These competencies focus on ethical decision-making, creativity, problem solving, adaptability – and more!
Completion levels
The CCR doesn’t end after one term – it follows you throughout their UNF experience. Each level offers a new set of skills to develop as you continue to grow. Show prospective employers and online networks the ways that UNF supports development outside of the classroom with completion levels.

Bronze Certification
Bronze is the first CCR milestone – proving that you have started turning campus involvement into a recognized experience. It shows employers and graduate schools that taking initiative early and building skills beyond the classroom is a priority.

Silver Certification
Silver recognizes consistent engagement and growth. It reflects meaningful involvement over time and signals leadership development, teamwork, and professional skills throughout a student’s UNF journey.

Gold Certification
Gold highlights strong, sustained involvement and leadership. This level demonstrates that a student has made a significant impact through tracked experiences and will have a well-rounded portfolio they can confidently showcase on resumes, applications, and LinkedIn.

Recognition and awards
The CCR is a great way to get formal recognition for the skills and experiences you build outside the classroom. By completing the CCR, you can create a verified Involvement Portfolio that highlights leadership, volunteering, and campus engagement—something you can confidently share with employers and graduate schools.
Students who complete their CCR may also be featured at student leader celebrations and recognition events and can earn digital badges to showcase on platforms like LinkedIn. It’s an easy way to turn your involvement into a professional story and stand out with proof of your growth and contributions

Domains
A domain is a category of learning and growth that the CCR tracks. Each domain has a list of required and optional activities for students to complete in order to receive recognition for the categories of learning.
Levels
Levels within the CCR recognize the progression of student learning and engagement across different domains. They provide a clear way to distinguish between introductory participation, deeper skill application, and advanced leadership and innovation.
Badges
Badges are digital markers of achievement earned through the CCR. They recognize specific skills, experiences, or milestones — like leadership, community engagement, or global awareness — and will be added to the Involvement Portfolio to showcase student accomplishments.
Reflections
Each domain of learning requires the student to complete a pre-reflection and post-reflection form before and after completing a domain. This lets students reflect on what they hope to learn and what they have learned throughout their UNF experience.
Required activities
There are many tasks built into the CCR that will provide students with the opportunity to reflect and gain transferrable skills. Departments across campus have come together to create opportunities for students to engage in learning and growth. No matter what activities a student does on or off campus, there is a place in the CCR for everyone.
Optional activities
Optional activities are considered non-mandatory and are offered as an additional asset to their Involvement Portfolio.

Frequently asked questions
Is my Involvement Portfolio the same as my UNF Academic Transcript?
Your Involvement Portfolio highlights your involvement and skill development outside the classroom; while your UNF Academic Transcript highlights your completion and involvement of classroom activities. The Involvement Portfolio is not a formal transcript offered by UNF and is meant to supplement the experience outlined in your official UNF transcript.
Does it cost anything to complete?
The CCR is offered at no cost to students as part of UNF’s commitment to equitable access, student success, and holistic development. We believe recognition of your experiences, skills, and contributions should be accessible to every student.
Who can see my CCR and Involvement Portfolio?
Your CCR and Involvement Portfolio are private to you. Only you decide when, how, and with whom to share them — whether for job applications, graduate or professional school submissions, scholarships, or personal portfolios.
This ensures you maintain full ownership of your experiences while still having a verified record ready whenever you need it.
How do I make sure my CCR stays up to date?
It is your responsibility to regularly submit your activities for recognition through UNFConnect. We recommend updating your record as often as possible so you don’t forget important experiences. Once your submission is verified, it will appear on your CCR.
Who verifies that I completed the activities?
Each CCR activity has a designated validator — usually a staff or faculty member connected to the program, club, or initiative. They confirm your participation and role before it’s officially added to your record.
