UNF Radio

UNF Radio is University of Niagara Falls Canada’s digital radio station powered by students in the Master of the Arts in Digital Media and Global Communications program.

Airing a variety of programming from students within the MA DMGC program, as well as the wider university community, UNF Radio is produced in downtown Niagara Falls with a global audience in mind.

Students are at the centre of every decision, from content strategy and show development to scheduling, promotion, and technical implementation.

UNF Radio operates on a 24-hour block schedule, Mondays through Fridays. The morning block is repeated twice throughout the day, and an early morning music block completes the schedule.

This is experiential learning at its most authentic, as every broadcast is a deliverable and every show is a portfolio piece.

Brain Boost is a student-led cultural conversation series featuring students Natalia Sofia Bueno Rivas, Susan Nandako Majimbo, and Joffre Araujo de Mattos. Through thoughtful and engaging dialogue, the show brings together diverse perspectives to explore culture, identity, and shared experiences.

Students share stories of resilience as they navigate life, culture, and personal growth in a new country. Produced by Keisy Justine Duque Uzca, Harishkumar Udayakumar, and Joseph Gamboa Jiao. Episodes are presented in English, Hindi, and Tagalog.

This show, created as part of the DMGC 535: Media Industries in an Interconnected World course, features 30-minute episodes that explore how media industries operate, evolve, and intersect across global, cultural, and economic contexts. It will be hosted by master's students taking the course.
