Students are required to remain in good academic standing, according to their programs specific grading scheme, term over term to continue receiving funding.

              • Should a student fall below the margin, but remain active in their program the following term and recover their term GPA to once again be declared as in good academic standing, they are eligible to once again receive the funding (not for the previously missed term; only moving forward for future terms)
                • Students must remain actively enrolled in their program, in a full-time capacity.
                  • All entrance awards (graduate and undergraduate) shall be disbursed on a per-term basis, proportionate to the number of course credits in which the student is enrolled for that term. The total value of the award shall be allocated in equal installments over the duration of the student’s academic program, in accordance with the prescribed disbursement schedule and the total number of applicable program credits.
                    • Students shall be eligible for consideration only for entrance awards that have been formally established and publicly published on or before the date of commencement of the student’s academic program. Notification of entrance award eligibility and the corresponding award value shall be provided to the student in the Offer of Admission and the Letter of Acceptance. Any subsequent revisions to entrance award eligibility or value, if applicable, shall be reflected exclusively in the most recent version of these documents.
                      • Upon commencement of the academic program, the student’s entrance award eligibility and award value shall be deemed final. Entrance awards are not subject to retroactive adjustment, reconsideration, modification, or appeal under any circumstances.
                        • Should a student withdraw from their program/term after funds are dispersed, any awarded funds for the current term will be returned to the institution in accordance to the below conditions:
                          • Student withdraws prior to deadline – while the award should not be dispersed at this time, if for any reason it has, its returned in full as the student would be receiving a full refund less $500 administrative fee.
                            • Student withdraws after registration deadline, but prior to academic deadline (receives W grade), student receives pro-rated refund of the amount they've paid depending on calculated days, and the awarded funds to be returned to the institution in full.
                              • Student withdraws after the 50% deadline of term, no funds are returned to student and while we would not be able to recoup any award, the student would not qualify for the next term regardless of academic scenario.
                              • All scholarships, bursaries and awards are subject to change without prior notice. If the allocated pool of financial support is fully utilized by the eligible applicants before the end of the award program’s validity, the award offer may be withdrawn - unless you have already received an official Letter of Acceptance.

Academic performance scholarships serve as a dual catalyst for universities, fostering a culture of excellence by incentivizing sustained scholastic achievement, while also affirming to students that their hard work and dedication are valued, acknowledged, and instrumental in shaping a community committed to academic success. At UNF – your best is rewarded!

These scholarships are available to returning students, starting in Term 2 of their program, and are combinable with other institutional scholarships or awards.

Students are only eligible for one academic award per enrolment term.

                                                                • Should a student withdraw from their program/term after funds are dispersed, the awarded funds will be returned on a pro-rated schedule (similar calculation to our refund policy)
                                                                  • Student withdraws prior to deadline – while the award should not be dispersed at this time, if for any reason it has, its returned in full as the student would be receiving a full refund less $500 administrative fee.
                                                                    • Student withdraws after registration deadline, but prior to academic deadline (receives W grade), student receives pro-rated refund depending on calculated days and a similar consideration for the award to be returned to the institution (unused portion).
