Limited spots available for eligible students
Students looking for an adventure are invited to apply to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award – Canada as the University of Niagara Falls Canada opens applications for the first time since becoming an authorized Award Centre.
The Award offers young people an opportunity to challenge themselves and grow through community service, physical activity, and skill development. UNF is offering a limited number of spots to eligible students under the age of 25 who are eager to engage in personal growth, leadership development, and meaningful community involvement.
“This is more than just an extracurricular opportunity,” said Sam Edgar, Associate Director of Student Experience at UNF. “It’s a chance for students to develop real-world skills, build confidence, and make a last impact in their own lives and in the community.”
The Award is recognized globally as a mark of dedication and achievement. UNF will be offering students the opportunity to complete the bronze-level Award by completing four core sections: voluntary service, physical recreation, skills, and an adventurous journey.
Applications opened on April 10 and will remain open through April 25. For more information, students can visit the Award page on UNF’s website or email studentengagement@unfc.ca.
