The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award - Canada

Partner Type: Affiliates and PartnersCountry: Canada

The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award - Canada is a non-competitive youth development program for ages 14–24. Since 1963, they've empowered over 11,000 annual participants through volunteering, sports, skills, and expeditions. But it's more than activities—it's a transformative journey that builds resilience, confidence, and lifelong friendships. From city classrooms to remote Indigenous communities, they're breaking down barriers and creating Canada's next generation of leaders, one challenge at a time.

University of Niagara Falls Canada has been designated as an official Award Centre under The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award – Canada.

This agreement means UNF students under age 25 can pursue the globally recognized Award, completing challenges across four core sections: Voluntary Service, Physical Recreation, Skills, and an Adventurous Journey.
