University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Northeast Normal University (NENU), located in Changchun, China, marking an exciting step forward in expanding UNF's global academic partnerships.

The MOU establishes a framework for exploring collaboration in several key areas, including establishing a Northeast Normal University Learning Center at UNF to promote language and cultural education, teacher training and professional development programs, short-term student study opportunities, as well as joint academic initiatives, research collaboration, and faculty and student exchanges.

“We are very excited about the opportunities that this partnership opens to students and faculty,” says Dr. David Gray, President and Vice-Chancellor at UNF. “We look forward to furthering connections between Canada and China, transforming our shared interests into meaningful academic and cultural opportunities for students and faculty”

Founded in 1946 and located in Changchun, Jilin Province, NENU is a prestigious public university directly administered by China's Ministry of Education. It is recognized under China's Project 211 and Double First-Class University initiatives and is widely known for its strengths in teacher education, academic research and international collaboration.

This partnership opens new opportunities to strengthen academic and cultural connections between Canada and China, enriching the experiences of students and faculty at both institutions.
