University of Niagara Falls Canada is pleased to announce it has been named a finalist in the Niagara Business Achievement Awards, presented by the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce.
For more than two decades, this annual event has recognized outstanding businesses and professionals in the Niagara region. UNF is honoured to be recognized as a finalist in the Excellence in Business Award: 26 Employees or More category.
“This recognition highlights not only the strength of our vision and strategy, it is also a reflection of the incredible work being done across our university and the strong connections we continue to build within the Niagara community. It is a privilege to be part of such a supportive region where collaboration and innovation thrive,” said Cyndi McLeod, President of UNF and CEO of GUS North America.
UNF welcomed its first intake of students in Spring 2024. With academic programs aligned to meet the demands of business and industry, students gain the skills and knowledge needed to prepare them for leadership in a digital world.
Located in downtown Niagara Falls, the university has more than 200 faculty and staff members contributing to its vision of innovative education and research for a digital world.
Demonstrating a deep commitment to community engagement, UNF has supported a number of organizations and initiatives including Project SHARE, Community Care of St. Catharines and Thorold, Pride Niagara, Alzheimer’s Society of Niagara, and Big Brothers Big Sisters Niagara. The university has also developed pathways with other academic institutions in Niagara and built strong relationships with industry partners across the country.
Hosted by the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce, the 2025 Niagara Business Achievement Awards ceremony will take place on June 18 at the Holiday Inn & Suites in St. Catharines. The full list of award finalists on the GNCC website.
