University of Niagara Falls Canada invites industry partners to participate in on-campus Opportunity Fair
Event on July 19 aims to connect Niagara employers with tomorrow’s talent
An upcoming event at the University of Niagara Falls Canada will connect its digitally focused students with employers from around the region for its first-ever Opportunity Fair.
Hosted by UNF’s Career Services team, the Opportunity Fair will provide a space for Niagara organizations to showcase their workplace and position themselves as leading employers to a diverse group of emerging professionals who are eager to begin their careers.
The July event will be open to all UNF students, including undergraduates in the business administration and biomedical sciences programs, and graduate students in programs such as data analytics, digital media and global communications, and management. They will be able to discover various possibilities within their fields through networking and in-person conversations.
“Hosting our first Opportunity Fair marks an exciting milestone in strengthening connections between students and local employers,” said Jessica Desmond, Career Advisor at UNF. “We are dedicated to creating opportunities that help students explore career options and empower employers to discover promising talent. This event plays a pivotal role in helping students build confidence and secure meaningful career pathways.”
In addition to participants who have part-time employment opportunities, the university is actively seeking employers and partners who would like to promote volunteer positions, as well as work-integrated learning opportunities for students, such as capstone project collaborations, internships, mentorships, and more.
“We welcome all partners to be present at the fair to connect face-to-face with students,” said Desmond.
Set to take place July 19 at UNF’s downtown Niagara Falls campus, the event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Employers interested in showcasing their opportunities are encouraged to complete the registration form or contact CareerServices@unfc.ca.
