Keystone Awards winners will be revealed this June
University of Niagara Falls Canada has been shortlisted for Higher Education Institution of the Year at the 2026 Keystone Awards, an annual awards program put on by the Keystone Education Group celebrating excellence and innovation in global education.
The nomination celebrates the university’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and exceptional student experience. The shortlisting places UNF among an elite group of institutions from around the world recognized for their outstanding contributions to higher education.
David Gray, UNF President and Vice-Chancellor, expressed pride in the achievement, crediting the institution’s remarkable community for the honour.
“This recognition is a reflection of the extraordinary people who make University of Niagara Falls Canada what it is,” said Gray. “Our faculty push the boundaries of knowledge, and our students bring curiosity and ambition to everything they pursue. And behind the scenes is our staff, working tirelessly to support them both. To be recognized at an international level is a tremendous honour, and one that belongs to every member of our community.”
UNF is one of six finalists for the award, alongside universities from Armenia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, United States, and Iraq. Institutions are evaluated on criteria including student outcomes, research impact, community engagement, and institutional leadership.
Hosted annually, the Keystone Awards recognise outstanding contributions by students, educators, and institutions across 10 award categories. Winners will be revealed during an online ceremony in June.
