UNF partners with La Red de Hispanos to support Spanish-speaking students and professionals
The University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) is excited to announce a new partnership with La Red de Hispanos, the largest support network for Spanish-speaking migrants in Canada.
La Red de Hispanos plays a key role in supporting newcomers as they integrate into life in Canada. The organization offers valuable resources for Hispanics living in Canada and actively promotes Hispanic-owned businesses and entrepreneurs.
As part of this partnership, UNF students can now join La Red de Hispanos as members and benefit from a wide range of services. The organization supports Hispanic professionals through social and networking events designed to connect individuals with training opportunities and link them to qualified professionals and hiring companies. It also offers coaching and mentoring programs, providing a supportive space to navigate the challenges newcomers face in settling and succeeding in Canada.
“Partnering with La Red de Hispanos allows us to strengthen the support we offer our Spanish-speaking students, helping them feel seen, heard, and connected. This collaboration opens doors to mentorship and career opportunities that can make a real difference in a student’s academic and personal journey,” said Kimberly Mikalauskas, Career Advisor at University of Niagara Falls Canada.
While membership is open to students of all nationalities, events and content are delivered in Spanish, so Spanish language proficiency is highly recommended to fully participate. Membership includes access to in-person and virtual events, such as networking sessions, coaching meetups, social gatherings, Instagram Live discussions, and more.
Student members will gain access to the Heylo platform, where they can receive updates and join discussions on key topics related to career development and professional growth.
