University of Niagara Falls Canada is expanding its academic offerings with four new programs designed to respond to Canada’s evolving policy priorities and long-term workforce needs.

All four programs were developed in consultation with industry partners and have completed Ontario’s quality assurance process, including a rigorous review by the Postsecondary Education Quality Assessment Board (PEQAB). They have received ministerial consent by the Minister of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security.

“These new degrees reflect our commitment to preparing students for the realities of a changing world, where digital innovation and sustainability must work hand in hand. We are proud to introduce programs that give students the skills to contribute to stronger, more resilient communities,” said David Gray, President and Vice-Chancellor of University of Niagara Falls Canada. “Whether in biosciences or sustainability, each program has been designed to align with national priorities and prepare students to contribute meaningfully to Canada’s future.”

Canada faces growing pressures related to climate change, food and water security, biodiversity loss, and sustainable economic development. At the same time, employers are seeking graduates with interdisciplinary knowledge, a digital mindset, and the ability to apply science and systems thinking to complex, real-world problems. These programs position graduates to address the demands of a rapidly changing national landscape.

Four-year program | On-Campus
Responding to increasing demand across Canada for expertise in animal health, biotechnology, agriculture, and environmental protection, this program emphasizes laboratory-based learning, digital diagnostics, and applied scientific skills that align with opportunities in research, industry, and public sector roles supporting Canada’s bioeconomy.

18-month program | On-Campus, Online
Canada’s investments in climate adaptation, land restoration, and sustainable development are driving demand for professionals focused on regeneration. The Master of Regenerative Sustainability trains graduates to restore and renew natural and built environments through applied learning and digital analysis, preparing them for work in ecosystem restoration, sustainable land use, climate adaptation, and community resilience.

18-month program | On-Campus, Online
As Canada continues to prioritize systems level approaches to climate action and sustainable growth, the Master of Sustainability Systems prepares graduates to analyze, design, and manage complex social, environmental, and economic systems. Students build skills in systems thinking, policy analysis, data analytics, and modelling for roles in government, industry, consulting, and non profits.

Water and food security are key priorities in Canada’s environmental, economic, and social policy agendas amid climate change, population growth, and global instability. The Master of Water and Food Security trains graduates to tackle these challenges through interdisciplinary study, digital tools, data driven decision making, and policy analysis for roles in government, development, agriculture, environment, and research.
