PARTNERSHIPSUNF expands global partnerships with two universities in Peru: Universidad Científica del Sur (UCSUR) and Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC)
University of Niagara Falls Canada (UNF) is proud to announce it is expanding its international network through new Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with two universities in Peru: Universidad Científica del Sur (UCSUR) and Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC).
"These agreements will allow for UNF and its new partners to explore exciting new opportunities for academic cooperation while strengthening educational connections between Canada and Peru," says Dr. David Gray, President and Vice-Chancellor at UNF. "Students and faculty can now participate in what we hope will be deeply valuable learning experiences and the beginning of relationships that connect them to the world."
Based in Lima, Universidad Científica del Sur (UCSUR) is a private university offering more than 40 undergraduate programs and 14 master's degrees across areas including health sciences, engineering and business. The university is recognized among Peru's leading private universities and is included in the QS World University Rankings, with a strong reputation for research, particularly in the health sciences.
Through the partnership with UCSUR, the universities will explore potential areas of cooperation including credit transfer and academic pathways, student mobility and short-term study opportunities, joint educational initiatives, research collaboration and academic exchange.
Also based in Lima, Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) was founded in 1994 and has established itself as a leading institution in Peruvian higher education, with a strong focus on academic quality, innovation and internationalization. UPC offers a broad portfolio of undergraduate and graduate programs and maintains an extensive global network. It is also the only university in Peru institutionally accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC), reflecting its commitment to internationally recognized standards of academic quality.
The MOU with UPC provides a framework for the institutions to explore opportunities for future academic cooperation and engagement, further strengthening UNF's relationships with higher education institutions in Peru.
Together, the two agreements support UNF's commitment to internationalization and the development of meaningful relationships with institutions around the world. By expanding its network of international partners, UNF aims to create opportunities for students and faculty to connect across borders, exchange knowledge and participate in globally focused educational experiences.
The partnerships with UCSUR and UPC mark another step in strengthening UNF's presence in Latin America and building long-term academic relationships in the region.
