Students arriving for the start of the Summer Term are the first to move into the University of Niagara Falls Canada’s newest managed residence building, marking an expansion of the school’s student housing offerings.

Located just steps from campus on River Road, the newly opened residence has 38 rooms, designed to offer both comfort and convenience to students looking for university-managed accommodations. The building features a range of suite options, including standard and premium double suites, single rooms, and a dedicated family unit suitable for couples or siblings studying at the university.

All suites come fully furnished and equipped with kitchenettes and private bathrooms. There are also communal spaces meant to foster community and support student success, such as study areas, lounges, and a full communal kitchen.

UNF Managed Residences offer students peace of mind, with on-call support and 24/7 security. Other offerings include on-site programming, social events, laundry facilities, and student leadership opportunities.

“We’re excited to welcome students to this new space” said Jenna Freeland, Manager, Student Life. “This residence not only increases our housing capacity, but it also gives students more choice in how and where they live. Whether students are looking for a quieter single suite or need space for a family member, there’s now a flexible option available to them right near campus.”

With growing enrolment and rising demand for secure, student-friendly housing, the university identified the downtown site as a key opportunity to provide additional, accessible accommodation to complement the UNF Managed Residence on Lundy’s Lane that opened in spring 2024.

Prospective and current students interested in learning more about the housing options available to them are encouraged to visit the UNF Managed Residences page on UNF’s website or connect with Housing Services by emailing housing@unfc.ca.
