Master of Management in Emerging Technologies graduate Edith Agbons Igiewe is the valedictorian of the Class of 2026!
A strategic marketing professional graduating from the Master of Management in Emerging Technologies, Edith Agbons Igiewe is the valedictorian of the Class of 2026!
“It is such an honour to be chosen as valedictorian for the UNF graduating class of 2026,” says Edith. “Thank you to the amazing faculty who supported the academic journey of my classmates and I, and to my classmates, who taught me so much both inside and outside the classroom.”
Originally from Nigeria, Edith came to UNF from Ziza Digital, a digital marketing agency in Nigeria, where she led operations and strategic planning. Edith is a frequent speaker and marketing facilitator who has delivered training for corporate teams. She also hosts The Growth Marketing Series, a podcast and newsletter. In 2021 she was named Outstanding Digital Marketing Professional of the Year, and in 2023 one of Nigeria's Top 50 Women in Marketing and Communications.
Edith chose UNF because emerging technology was reshaping how organizations grow and how marketing gets done. She wanted the formal grounding to lead that change, and UNF’s hands-on, applicable learning focus offered exactly what she was looking for.
During her studies, Edith served on the Students Council and the Academic Council, and both as Class Representative and Program Representative. She represented UNF at the DeGroote Business Case Competition at McMaster University in November 2025, where she was named top speaker. In June 2026, she received the UNF President's Leadership Award.
She holds a BSc in Business, an MBA in Marketing, and is a Chartered Marketer with the Canadian Marketing Association.
As valedictorian, Edith will be recognized during the Fall Convocation ceremony taking place October 30 – 31 at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre.
