Tahmina Ahmed

Tahmina Ahmed, PhD, is a scholar in accounting whose research explores financial disclosure, capital markets, and the intersection of social media, ESG, and non-profit finance. She holds a PhD in Administration (Accounting) from the Schulich School of Business, York University.

Tahmina has taught accounting and finance courses at multiple institutions, including Niagara University (Ontario), York University, and the University of Dhaka, where she has delivered courses ranging from Corporate Finance and Financial Statement Analysis to Financial and Managerial Accounting and Strategic Accounting Analysis and Planning.

Her research has been published in the Journal of Business EthicsPublic Relations Review, and Journal of Public Budgeting, Accounting & Financial Management, with several other manuscripts under revision for leading journals such as Journal of Accounting, Auditing & Finance and the Journal of Information Systems.

Tahmina is a recipient of the Fulbright Fellowship, the EY Award for Excellence in Scholarship, and the Prime Minister’s Gold Medal for Academic Excellence.
