The University of Niagara Falls Canada offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs.

Undergraduate programs include the Honours Bachelor of Business Administration and Honours Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences.

Graduate programs include the Master of Arts in Digital Media and Global Communications, Master of Data Analytics, Master of Management, Master of Health Care Management, Master of Arts in Applied Social Psychology, and the Master of Computer Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence.

Additional educational opportunities include the Pre-Med Pathway, Master of Computer Science Bridge Program, and Graduate Foundation Program.

You can apply to UNF online in three easy steps. You will first need to create a student account. You will then receive an email to officially activate your account. You can then sign in to complete and manage your application.

Whether you are a domestic student or an international learner interested in studying in Canada, admission requirements vary based on the type of program and applicant. Refer to the admission requirements for undergraduate programs and admission requirements for graduate programs to ensure you meet the necessary criteria to attend UNF.

Applicants who do not speak English as a first language or have received their education in a language other than English, must meet UNF’s English language requirements by achieving a minimum score on an approved test. Minimum score for admission will vary based on the test being taken.

In an effort to provide students with financial aid, scholarship and award opportunities are available to make education as accessible as possible for students attending UNF.

UNF has received professional accreditation and recognition from the National Committee for Management Accreditation through CIM | Chartered Managers Canada. The university is also a member of the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs as well as BioTalent Canada.

UNFoffers up to four intakes available throughout the academic year, providing students with flexible opportunities to apply to the university.

Undergraduate programs currently offer in-person classes only. All three formats are available for graduate programs but will vary based on program availability.

The university offers housing near campus through UNF Managed Residences. Safe and inclusive options are available in a student residence at two sites: Lundy’s Lane and River Road.

In addition to UNF Managed Residences, UNF’s Housing Services team can provide housing support for international students as well as students who are moving to Niagara Falls from within Canada.

In addition, our Career Services team hosts several networking opportunities for students, giving them the chance to connect with industry leaders and local employers.

UNF’s International Student Advising team offers general guidance and resources on a variety of topics to ensure international students can enjoy a smooth transition to life in Canada.

UNF offers guides that highlight important details to help them prepare before and after arrival. International students can also book an appointment with an International Student Advisor to discuss a variety of immigration-related topics or attend drop-in sessions, workshops, and information sessions.

There are a variety of student clubs, social activities, and events that students can participate in. There also so many opportunities to volunteer throughout the school year, empowering students to support worthy causes, build important skills, and make connections within the community.

The Student Leadership Awards at UNF are a group of awards that are presented to students who have demonstrated a commitment to innovation, service, and making a meaningful impact. Nominations for the awards are submitted by UNF staff, faculty, and students. An awards committee then conducts a comprehensive review to select the finalists for each award category.

Technology and learning resources for students include the integration of artificial intelligence, machine learning, virtual reality, and the metaverse into classes – giving students a hands-on experience with emerging tools. Students also have access to a fully digital library that provides online resources, research support, and writing assistance.

To access the myUNF portal, you will need to login with the credentials that were provided to you via email by the university. Once received, you can enter your credentials online to begin using the portal. If you are experiencing issues when trying to access your account, contact support@myunfc.ca.

You should receive your credentials three to four weeks before course registration opens.

If you are starting as a new student at UNF, you will be required to attend New Student Orientation. This helpful program will allow you to learn more about UNF, the surrounding area, and engage with members of the UNF community through various events.

From applied research projects, challenge-based learning, and service learning to field placements, internships, and practicums, UNF students engage in work-integrated learning opportunities, allowing them to take their learning beyond the classroom.

UNF embeds digital skills and technologies throughout its curriculum, helping students develop the skills needed for today’s tech-driven world. The university offers a cutting-edge learning framework that evolves as technology and industry practices change, ensuring students gain hands-on experience with tools like AI, machine learning, and immersive digital platforms.

UNF’s current research is centred on digital transformation. This includes exploring how organizational design supports digital value creation, alternative approaches to studying firms in the digital economy, the advantages and disadvantages of launching digitally native organizations, and the circumstances under which spill-over effects impact parent companies.

The role of generative AI across several industries is explored at UNF, helping students understand its practical applications. The university also offers a Master of Computer Science in Applied Artificial Intelligence, giving students the opportunity to gain advanced knowledge and skills in AI development and implementation.

Yes, a Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) is required for qualifying applicants who are preparing for their studies at UNF.

Your UNF student tuition fee will depend on your program of study and will vary based on your status as a domestic or international student.

Tuition payments can be made through CIBC Student Pay or Flywire. These tuition payment methods allow students to pay fees from anywhere in the world.

A Deferred Graduate Tuition Payment Plan is available to full-time students enrolled in a graduate program. Additional details regarding the plan can be accessed here.

Program deliveries include on-campus, online, and hybrid. Delivery modes will vary depending on program availability. This creates opportunities for collaborative learning for students in addition to self-paced options.

UNF is listed on the Government of Canada’s Designated learning institutions (DLI) list. As a DLI, the university has approval from the provincial government to host international students. UNF is accredited by the Province of Ontario and has been granted consent by the Minister of Colleges and Universities to offer each of its programs.
