Yalcin Parmaksiz
Yalcin Parmaksiz has more than 20 years of experience working in the corporate sector and has taught for more than a decade at both international and Canadian institutions, including University Canada West, Ontario Tech University, Yorkville University, Conestoga College, Lambton College, and Seneca College. Because of this, he brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm for marketing education.
Before moving to Canada, Yalcin worked in Turkey as the country manager for the French digital media giant Webedia/Boxoffice.com. He now resides in Etobicoke with his wife and seven-year-old daughter. Outside of academia, Yalcin enjoys playing the guitar, exploring the latest digital media trends, and unwinding with episodes of his favorite TV series The Office, which he appreciates for its unique blend of humour and insight into social interactions. He’s also an active contributor to the American Marketing Association, Toronto.
Yalcin is committed to enriching his students’ educational journeys. His teaching approach seamlessly integrates theoretical knowledge with practical applications, preparing them to excel in the fast-evolving marketing field. He’s excited to make a positive impact on the UNF community.
